The book that you hold in your hands is an opening book. For the first time in Russian historiography, the stages of the formation of the prosecutor’s office were stated in domestic historiography, and not from the day of signing by the decree Peter I - January 12, 1722, but from the date of the origin of this institution in the bowels of the Russian legal system to the present day. Going into history, the study transfers us to more ancient times. At the same time, not only opens the eyes to the readers to the first shoots of the future prosecutor’s field, but also returns from oblivion the whole galaxy of the hitherto unknown managers of the prosecutor"s office and other lawyers, whose names had previously been buried in the archives and are not in demand from foreign sources. Thanks to the work, the real edition allows us to learn about many of our compatriots, whose actions and deeds were fulfilled and nobility and should forever be inscribed in the tablets of history.
