The story of Olga Rozhneva "Wormwood is dedicated to a wide period in world history - 1904-1955. Together with the protagonist Rita, the reader will pass through the crucible of trials and will survive everything that fell to the share of white emigrants. The events of the book are developing against the backdrop of revolutions, world wars, the crashes of state regimes, clashes of crops in a quiet kulja, a free Shanghai, a dangerous Philippine island of Tubabao, unknown Paraguay, prosperous Buenos Aires. Through the unbelief and bitterness, a sense of revenge and hatred, the heroine will make a difficult path to gaining herself and forgiveness, in which Saint John Shanghai will be a faithful guide to her.
