Elena Yakovlevna Danko (1898-1942) was called "The Most Smart Woman of St. Petersburg". She was a writer, a poet, a memoirist, an artist at a porcelain factory and a puppeteer at the Studio Theater in Leningrad. That"s just working in a puppet theater, she wrote the story "Wooden actors". This is an exciting adventure story, the action of which takes place in Europe of the XVIII century. The Venetian syrot boy, Giuseppe, seeing the presentation of the puppet theater in the square, wanted to become a puppeteer. Together with his friend Paskual, he learns to make dolls himself. The manufacturing process, or rather, would say - birth, dolls are described so excitingly that for sure everyone will want to try to make their doll at least once.
