The action in the short novel by Valerkina Love takes place among the team of the car passenger ship running along the river, and somehow imperceptibly among the details of everyday life of a simple-heartily-painful team is gradually loosened by timid, pure, still bashful love of the young, but wayward sailor Valerka into young , a beautiful and strict "navigator" of the ship Antonina Nikolaevna, and her care for him, helping him find his place in life.
