Alexandra Vasilievich Sukhovo-Kobylin (1817-1903) is deservedly considered one of the most talented satirists, although only three plays belong to him-the trilogy “Wedding of Krechinsky”, “The Death” and “Death of Tarelkin”. Alexander Vasilievich from a young age was addicted to literature and philosophy, but he was forced to turn to literary activity. The writer was accused of the death of his beloved, Louise Simon-Demansh, and was under investigation for seven years. Sorrow from loss, indignation for an unfair accusation, experiences associated with bureaucratic arbitrariness and trial, were reflected in his famous trilogy
