By the first time of the death of W. Koshpir, the 400th anniversary of the death of U.Ckyspir has been published into the Russian language of the "tragic story of Hamlet, the Prince of the Danish" in the original version (first quarto), which is distinguished by the dynamic development of the plot while maintaining poetic value and philosophical depths. The book also includes the parallel text of the original and an article by the famous Shakespearer Professor M. Litvinova, dedicated to the riddles of the authorship of Shakespeare"s texts and the special role of Hamlet, in the version of the first quarters, in the unraveling of this secret. The first quarto, where there are no many familiar detailed monologues and poetic passages, gives the impression of the inseparability and completeness of the text, tracking the plot and fate of the heroes without any omissions. The names of individual characters have been changed: in particular, Polonium became Coambis, and Laerte familiar to us turns out to be a LIART (which is closer in sound to the Shakespearean lyre than to the Homeric Laeru, the father of Odysseus) "Hamlet" in the version of the first quarto does not leave the world theater scene. This is a play for the ensemble, not a demonstration of the only star actor. The first quarto was placed in many camps of the world - but never in Russia, since there was no independent artistic translation of this option.
