The story of one city

Once upon a time, a certain tribe of the head of the head, dragging out of all its neighbors, founded the city of Zhupov. The outstanding Russian writer Mikhail Evgrafovich Saltykov-Shchedrin (1826-1897) "read" in the annals of the city of Glupov, much of what was outraged by himself and his contemporaries, about which his soul was sick and from which his heart was daring. Silpovites described the tongue -tied and submissive to all power this: "The authorities are seeing themselves in a faulty, to collect taxes strict, but there is little hasty to give help." (This is about the mayor of Ferdyshchenko, who was hungry, and he himself died of gluttony) The protective press immediately after publication (1870) accused Saltykov-Shchedrin in mocking the Russian people and distorting historical facts. That is, the fools recognized themselves and were offended on the mirror. And so far many are offended, by the way. Golovotupa, what to take from them.
