The first Puni war was destined to remain forever in the shadow of the Second War of Rome with Carthage. The sea battles under Milas and Ecnoma, grandiose battles on land with Panorm and Bagrada were forgotten against the backdrop of the brilliant victories of Hannibal under Trebbia, Lake Trasimensky and Cannes. Despite this, the first Puni was one of the largest military confrontations of the ancient world, which lasted twenty -three years. No wonder the ancient Greek historian of the II century BC Polybius speaks clearly and unequivocally - it is the first purean that is the most indicative war between the two superpowers of antiquity. The fighting of this vein unfolded in Sicily and Africa. Through the battlefields, many thousands of army fought, and huge fleets died in sea battles and from the riot of elements. The scales were constantly hesitated in one direction or the other, and no one could predict on whose side there would be a victory
