In 1217, knights from all corners of Europe go on a new crusade. Having gathered in Palestine, they attack the Muslim fortress on Mount Tabor. The young Count Heinrich von Sternberg, who had dreamed of fighting with the Saracens from childhood, was confronted with a choice in his first battle - to kill one of the commanders of the Moors and cover himself with glory or save his brother. Without hesitation, Sternberg goes to the aid of his brother, because this would have done every true knight, for whom the concern for others is more important than his own benefit. Alas, not all participants in the campaign are as well and Sternberg will soon have to make sure of this. But even if the sacred war ceases to be such and is waged for the sake of profit, the knight can find a goal worthy of fighting for her
