The book continues the publication of the works of the famous pre -revolutionary writer Fedor Kryukov, created by him on the eve of the First World War and the global shocks that followed it. The works reflect the life of ordinary people in Russia and its specific region - the region of the Don army, on the eve of formidable trials.
Other works are also included in the collection, including those related to a later - military period of the writer’s work, who were not included in the collection "in the German war". In them, the writer shows the situation and the course of hostilities in Transcaucasia, in the south direction, in Galicia, an eyewitness and participant of which he was.
