A native of the Vyatka peasants, Vladimir Andreevich Milchakov (1910-1973) belongs to the generation of military writers. He began with poetry, professionally engaged in literature immediately after the end of the war, having a serious experience of what had happened on it. "Intelligence goes ahead of the" "You can’t spare such people" and some of his books became known far beyond the borders of the eagle, where he headed the writer"s organization. Its main - and the last one - the novel, "chicks of the eagles", went into two tricks: the first volume in 1969, the second - posthumously, in 1974. In addition to high reliability, the book has outstanding artistic merits.
