Nikolai Petrovich Wagner (1829-1907) - Russian zoologist, professor, one of the most outstanding writers of his time, Spirit. In 1872, his popular "tales of Kota-Murlyki", which were reissued 9 times before the revolution. The book included twenty -five philosophical fairy tales and parables, of which 15 were repeatedly reprinted by various publishers in our time. The characteristic features of Wagner"s fairy tales are peculiar mysticism, symbolism and allegory combined often with severe realism. A noticeable place in Wagner"s work is occupied by the genre of Christmas story.
