On October 6 (29), Germany, the hands of Rear Admiral Wilhelm Sushon, who took the post of commander of the Sultan Mehmed V, pulled Turkey into a world war, as a result of which the centuries-old Ottomov Empire disappeared from the political map of the world.
The events of the three months that shared the discovery of hostilities in Europe and the beginning of the war between Turkey and the Entente powers are the subject of this study.
In the work, an attempt was made to recreate a holistic picture of events that directly preceded the beginning of hostilities in the Black Sea, and the attack of the German-Turkish fleet on the Russian ports, which involved Turkey in the First World War.
Based on a wide range of domestic and foreign sources and moving away from ideological cliches, the author illuminated the decisions made by opponents and appreciated their consequences.
