The stories and novels of Chekhov, written and published from 1892 to 1903, are not at all like the early work of Antoshi Chekhont. In 1890, Chekhov went to hard labor Sakhalin. All the work of the “post -Sakhalin” time in one way or another bears the shade of the experienced there. Many heroes of the late Chekhov perceive their existence as a imprisonment, seek to break out of it, but do not find the desired freedom anywhere. Nevertheless, in his mature work of Chekhov, he is not devoid of faith in the best and devotes many of his stories to love.
Satirics of Kukryniksi (a creative group that included Mikhail Kupriyanov, Porfiry Krylov, Nikolai Sokolov), following the author, change the mood of drawings - from satirical gloom to sensual lyricalness.
