The book, written by the Romanian writer, poet and journalist, truthfully describes the details of the work of military labor camps of the regime Nikolai Ceausescu. The author is familiar with the topic firsthand - having got into the army in 1985 after graduating from a military school, he ended up at the construction site of the famous "house of the people" in Bucharest. The construction of the building turned out to be one of the most ambitious projects of this kind in history - it is enough to say that it required the destruction of the fifth part of the historical development of the city. To this day, this building remains one of the largest architectural monuments in Europe - and at the same time the monument to one of the most inhuman regimes of the 20th century.
