The name Dzhambattist Bazile (1583-1632), the author of "Tales of fairy tales", recently became known to the Russian -speaking reader, and nevertheless he was well familiar with Basile"s stories - in the arrangement of Charles Perrault, Carlo Gozzi and the Grimm brothers. The author of the non-AAPOLITAN, however, these stray stories often gain a completely unexpected color: he and the Cinderella is able to fight a worthy fighting, and the sleeping beauty after awakening does not behave in the best way ... Frivolous and even cruel plots, the intervention of fairies and the intervention of fairies and Orcs, heroes who do not climb into a pocket, the ardor of youth and the despondency of old age, edification and adventure - all this was accommodated in a five -day fairy -tale marathon, in fifty entertaining and instructive stories (hence another name of the book - Pentameron, "Fifty Day ").
