Volume 3 is the 3rd edition of the author’s book. The first two editions of the same name were published in the publishing house "Science" in 2001 and 2003, respectively.
The monograph is devoted to the history and socio-cultural dynamics of the Chechen society in an armed conflict. It is based on more than 100 interviews with participants in the events (politicians, Chechen militants, refugees, representatives of all layers of the Chechen society) The book was reflected in the latest history, culture and family-related relations of Chechens, the formation of the ideology of nationalism and separatism, the anatomy of hostage and human trafficking, the escalation of violence, the nature of the political regime in this region.
