Sea War

Vice Admiral of the Royal Navy Britain Philip Howard Colomb (1831-1899) is an outstanding military historian, geostrate and a large theorist of naval art. In the history of world geopolitical thought, Colomb entered as one of the founders of the concept of marine power, which formed the basis of the system of ideas of the Anglo-American school of Atlantism. He owns fundamental work, which has become the result of many years of research in the field of naval history and strategy, translated into many European languages, including Russian in 1894 and published under the name "Sea War, its basic principles and experience." The author summarized the experience of hostilities at the sea since the 15th century, and also outlined the theory of sea war he created.
