Hunting - an ancient lesson - puts a person face to face with nature, forest and its inhabitants. For centuries, it inspires writers, is an inexhaustible source of philosophical, poetic understanding of the world, moral choice. In Russian culture, hunting - an integral part of the noble manor life - was reflected both in the works of the great masters and in the stories and essays of now forgotten hunting writers, continuing the traditions of I.S.
