A collection of Russian military relics of the Danish Military Museum in Copenhagen contains several hundred objects and is one of the largest in the world. The basis of the collection was the collection of a great expert and lover of Russian military antiquity, Major General P.P. Gimim-Levkovich, bequeathed to the museum in 1944. Later, the collection included objects from other private collections and things that belonged to Russian emigrants living in Denmark after 1917. An important part of the collection is made up of military uniforms and equipment obtained by the museum from Russia even before the First World War, as well as uniforms belonging to the crowned people of Denmark, which consisted of the chefs of the Russian regiments. Due to the limited area of the museum, as well as due to his concern for the preservation of exhibits, most of them are stored in funds and only occasionally exhibited for viewing.
