The Great Northern War of 1700-1721. was a turning point in the history of Russia and many other countries of Northern and Eastern Europe. For Russia, the result of participation in the coalition of European countries directed against Sweden was the return of previously lost lands, the consolidation of access to the Baltic Sea and transformation into a great power.
The book tells about the second stage of the Great Northern War, when after the Poltava battle (1709) there was a resuscitation of the Great Northern Alliance and the struggle for the southern coast of Sweden, Norway and Swedish possessions in Northern Germany began.
In the domestic literature, the description of these fracture events was given mainly with support for Russian sources. In the new monograph by the Doctor of Historical Sciences A.V. Bespalova presented a holistic picture of military and diplomatic confrontation during the Northern War
