The collection includes ten works of A.S. Pushkin - the poem Ruslan and Lyudmila with the preface of the historian of literature M.G. Khalansky, the poem “Song of the Prophet Oleg” and eight poetic fairy tales, including “The Tale of the Priest and the employee of his Balde”. At the end of the collection, this fairy tale, processed in 1840 for censorship reasons of Zhukovsky, with illustrations from the magazine Jester is also given. The texts of all fairy tales are decorated with magnificent drawings of eight artists, including such masters of book illustration as I.Ya. Bilibin, B.V. Zvorykin and V.M. Vasnetsov
