In the center of the novel by the famous Soviet writer Vasily Ivanovich Ardamat (1911-1989) is a complex operation carried out in the mid -1920s by our Chekists led by F.E. Dzerzhinsky, to disclose and destroy a counter -revolutionary conspiracy, led by an ardent enemy of the Soviet regime, an experienced conspiracy and a terrorist, right Socialist -Revolutionary Boris Savinkov. The most difficult duel with Savinkov had to lead the Chekist A.P. Fedorov. The work is built on letters, diaries of B. Savinkov, excerpts from protocols and other archival materials. The novel was twice filmmed, the last time in 1981 (the television film “Sindicat-2”, in the main roles: Mikhail Kozakov, Evgeny Lebedev, Natalya Fateeva, director Mark Orlov)
