The book is a continuation of a two-volume publication dedicated to the cavalry of the Prussian army of the period of 1808-1840: the history of units, uniforms, equipment and weapons. In the second volume, the hussar and Ulan regiments, guards Cossacks and the educational cavalry squadron are considered. Separate chapters are devoted to the signs of the differences in Prussian officers and the horse composition of the Prussian cavalry. The book is richly illustrated by several hundred original engravings, lithographs and picturesque works depicting the ranks of the Prussian cavalry, portraits of officers and lower ranks from museum and private collections.
