“Pnin” (1957), the fourth English -language novel by Vladimir Nabokov, is dedicated to the vital and downs of one of the most defenseless and touching characters in the literature of the 20th century. A real Russian intellectual, a wonderful scientist, but a wonderful and unlucky person, Timofey Pnin, who left Russia after the 1917 revolution, teaches Russian literature at the American University, where he becomes a random victim of the intrigue and stale of colleagues.
