Ivan Shmelev (1873 - 1950) - Russian writer, thinker, publicist. He was nominated twice at the Nobel Prize. The author of the famous works “The Sun of the Dead” and “Summer of the Lord.”
The collection includes two novels united by the theme of Orthodox pilgrimage. In the “Peree” children"s memoirs about a trip to Trinity -Sergius Lavra - the Old Russian Monastery, founded by Sergius of Radonezh.
