Ilya Ilf and Evgeny Petrov are the famous Soviet feuilletonists and satirics of the first half of the 20th century. In collaboration, they created the most famous novels" Twelve Chairs and the Golden Calf, the story "One -story America", as well as several cycles of short stories. The story “One -story America” is the result of the authors" trip to the United States in the mid -1930s, the embodiment of their searches of “real America”, their personal discovery of America. The book is preceded by the introductory article by Alexandra Ilyinichna Ilf, the daughter of one of the authors
