Sergey Alekseev (1922-2008), editor, critic, writer.
The young years of the writers were held in Orenburg: he studied at the School, worked as an instructor in the educational aviation regiment, and graduated from the History Faculty of Pedagogical Institute. Later he worked in several publishers and magazines.
For forty years of work in literature, Alekseev created more than thirty books on the history of Russia for four centuries: from the middle of the XVI to the middle of the XX century. These books were translated into 50 languages of the peoples of the world and gained wide fame not only in our country, but also abroad.
