Arkady Averchenko is a wonderful musician writer, playwright, theatrical critic, editor of the most famous in pre -revolutionary Russia Satyrikon and New Satyricon Humor magazines. The works of the "king of laughter", as contemporaries called Averchenko, are distinguished by conciseity, soft humor, grace of tongue and subtle psychologism.
The stories included in the book are written at different times.
