This collection includes the stories of Russian writers, wide and little-known, united by the theme of the New Year and Glasses. A long Russian winter with baptismal frosts, drills and snowstorms, threatening a man of danger, long dark evenings, filled with stories about the former and holy fables, brightly affected Russian literature. In many works, a particularly significant motive is the assertion of Christian virtues.
