"Konarmia" is the main work of I.E. Babel. It is dedicated to the Polish campaign of the First Horse Army in 1920. The book is published according to the first separate publication issued by the State Publishing House in 1926 and included 34 stories. The "additions" included four stories that adjoin the Konarmey cycle, articles from the newspaper Red Cavalry, a 1920 diary," plans and sketches to Konarmia "", "Differences in the stories". In the notes, mentioned in the "Konarmia" and in Babel"s diary, historical realities with memoirs see are compared. Budyonny and evidence of other participants in the events, as well as with genuine documents of the period of the Soviet-Polish war of 1920 among illustrations of photographs of Babel and his environment, autographs of the writer and other unique materials.
