Today, the Russian Far East is well studied. But a little more than a century ago, everything was different - at the beginning of the 20th century, scientists and travelers, one might say, only began to discover the secrets of the current Khabarovsk and Primorsky regions. The researcher of the Far East, the ethnologist and writer V.K. Arsenyev (1872-1930) tells about one of these expeditions in his book. In 1908-1910, he and his comrades examined the northern part of the mountain region of Sikhote-Alin. The author describes many observations, meetings and adventures, some of which almost cost the participants in the campaign.
