On September 8, 1941, German troops interrupted the land communications of Leningrad with the country. The blockade of Leningrad began, which became the greatest tragedy of World War II.
In the proposed book N.A. Lombgin shows the German strategy during the blockade of Leningrad, the issues of the food position and mood of the population in the besieged city in 1941-1943 are highlighted. For the first time, letters of Leningraders on food support, addressed to the city leadership in 1941-1942 are published.
