Kulikov was a passionate hunter and gave a lot of time to his beloved leisure. Hunting observation and professional inclination of a lawyer to psychological analysis helped Pskovich in his literary work. All his works are accurate by observations and subtly describe the internal experiences of actors, as well as their sometimes very complex relationships. Pskovich loved and highly appreciated L.P. Sabanev. The publication included the hunting stories of Volume I: behind the capercaillie, old elk, from different ends, the first acquaintance with the bear, on white partridges, after raid, on the islands, in the county, on the cap.
