He left a large literary inheritance: essays on the grouse and hare hunting (“Curly of the Capercaillie”, “On the Capercaillie currents”, “Hunting for hares-beels”), books: “Essays and Stories”, “Hunting and Hunters”. N. N. died in the prime of creative forces. His brainchild - the magazine Our Hunt - lasted until 1917 thanks to the efforts and selflessness of his wife Alexandra Nikolaevna. Circulation 30 copies.
