Being from 1908 to 1914 the editor of the famous St. Petersburg hunting magazine Our Hunt (1907-1917) He left a noticeable mark in Russian hunting journalism. Famous hunting experts collaborated in his magazine-S. A. Buturlin, A.P. Ivashentsov, practical hunters-Bear Bear A. N. Lyalin, pottery N.P. Kishensky. And Nikolai Nikolaevich himself wrote for his magazine, which required not only tireless labor, but also material sacrifices: he paid for losses brought from his own funds. He left a large literary inheritance: essays on the grouse and hare hunting (“Curly of the Capercaillie”, “On the Capercaillie currents”, “Hunting for hares-beels”), books: “Essays and Stories”, “Hunting and Hunters”. N. N. died in the prime of creative forces. His brainchild - the magazine Our Hunt - lasted until 1917 thanks to the efforts and selflessness of his wife Alexandra Nikolaevna. Circulation 30 copies.
