Humiliated and insulted

The collection includes three works by Fedor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky: his first published novel "Poor People", the novel "Double" conceived after a long -term exile, the novel “Milised and Offended”.
In these works there is a strong influence of a "natural school" with realistic descriptions of the social bottom and characters - carriers of great ideas. Dostoevsky writes a fundamentally new prose for his time, the influence of Western realism is traced in his early works, important social problems, helplessness before the blows of fate and acute psychologism come to the forefront.
Criticism learned the appearance of a great writer, the new "Gogol". A deep psychological analysis of the characters did not leave indifferent either literary scholars or the reading public. The undeniable artistic value and uniqueness of Dostoevsky as an expert on the sacrament of mental processes give us the opportunity to make a complete picture about the life of the lower social class overshadowed by problems and understand that the human nature has remained unchanged
