The descendant of one of the noble families of Russia, Prince Vladimir Sergeyevich Trubetskoy (1892–1937), who took the pseudonym “V. Vetov ”, by the will of fate, was not an emigrant aristocrat, but by the Soviet“ deprived ”of the NEP era, in other words, as a representative of an alien class, not only the right to vote for leaders, but in general almost all human rights. However, he did not give up, took up adventure literature. In 1927-1930, his numerous stories, united in several cycles, began to appear in the magazine World Rastype. Even in conditions of fierce censorship, the magazine managed to maintain the highest artistic level. The works of Trubetskoy who became extremely popular was illustrated by Shurin, Prince Vladimir Mikhailovich Golitsyn (1901–1941), a virtuoso graph.
In 1932, under the pressure of Maxim Gorky, who believed that the youth is harmful, the “World Rastypees” was closed, the cycles of stories broke off. Trubetskoy was shot in Andijan, Golitsyn died of Pellagra in Sviyazhsk. Meanwhile, the joint work of the two princes in the context of Soviet censorship uniquely not going on any compromises they managed to create works worthy of being considered the gold fund of Russian literature for adolescents
