The great Russian poet has repeatedly turned in his work to the glorious history of our Fatherland - both in verses and in prose and dramaturgy. The collection includes: the drama "Boris Godunov", dedicated to the complex period in the history of Russia - the suppression of the Rurikovich dynasty, the Polish invasion and years of the Troubles, the story of Arap Peter the Great, whose main character is the ancestor of the poet Ibrahim Hannibal, the pupil of the emperor and one of the "Pricks of the Prints Petrov"s nests", as well as the History of Pugachev.
