In the history of literature, Dmitry Grigorovich remained as one of the founders of the “natural school”, as well as the first Russian prose writer, who put a peasant theme in the Center for creativity. The recognition came to Grigorovich thanks to the story “Village” (1846), in which the author describes the bitter fate of the peasant woman, against the will of married. At the same time, Grigorovich was not only a “advanced writer”, tirelessly mourning about popular troubles. The artistic storyteller and wit, he willingly combined literary life with secular, and later, moving away from literature, was engaged in visual arts and helped young artists. In the 1880s. The name of Grigorovich again sounded in literary circles. His story “The Gutta -Pervy Boy”, written in the traditions of the beloved by the author of Dickens, turned out to be “a little masterpiece”, received the public recognition and soon became one of the textbook works of Russian literature
