The fourth height ”is the most famous work of Elena Ilyina, his native sister
Samuila Yakovlevich Marshak. This story was written in 1945 about the life of ordinary-
Noah girls Guli Koroleva. Guly is not a fictional character, but a real girl. She
lived only twenty years, but managed to do so much that it would be enough for a long life,
if the war had not begun ... The Guly overcame itself, took new heights in my studies and in sports,
and in war. She went as a nurse to the front, pulled out about a hundred fighters from under the fire and died, defending the height of 56.8, her “fourth height”, from the attack of the Germans.
