Reprint from the publication. Moscow, 1937. Lakaz - a French intelligence officer sets out his four years of experience in organizational espionage activities during the war of 1914-1918. The book covers the work of small front -line reconnaissance points that organize reconnaissance in the interests of military formations. As can be seen from the book - the goals and objectives of spy organizations were not limited only to collecting information about the forces and intentions of the enemy. Sabotage, explosions, arson, making decomposition into the enemy ranks - all this is included in the circle of duties of the spy. The experience of organizing espionage from the territory of the neutral state is described. In the war 1914-1918 Neutral countries located on the flanks of warring coalitions: Scandinavian countries, Holland, Switzerland, Spain and Romania (before joining the war), served as foci of espionage. On the territory of these countries, often in the same city and on the same street, representatives of the intelligence agencies of two hostile armies were placed, conducting reconnaissance against each other.
