The dramatic events in the new novel by Alexander Donskoy “Cornial Stone” unfold against the background of great achievements in the recent history of Russia. The brigade of the “chemists”-firepers destroys, strictly adhering to a strict plan and graphics, one of the villages in the place of which the hydroelectric power station should appear. But unexpectedly the plan and schedule are destroyed, and people, former villagers, as well as warranty men and one high rank, begin to do something unusual and partly incredible. Throughout the novel there is an alarming idea that “a house, a hut to put without a cornerstone, of course, is possible, but - if it will do for a long time ...”
