“Fornication and Mudo” is a modern Plutovsky novel. In the provincial city of Kovyazin, young teachers of Mudo, the former house of pioneers, saving their institution from closing, arranging a scam: they portray that in their country summer camp, there are full of resting schoolchildren. The protagonist, philosopher and Bonvivan Boris Morzhov, travels to the former lovers-teaching, like Chichikov on the estates of the landowners, and “sees” certificates-“dead souls” of non-existent inhabitants of the camp. And in the novel there are prostitutes, sales cops, corrupt officials, village drunks and a lot of other motley people. But a cheerful novel formulates a very serious question: what is more correct, to be successful or be genuine? ”
