N.V. Gogol began work on the Farm of the Farm near Dikanka in 1829, the first part was published in 1831, the second in 1832. Criticism met the work ambiguously, negative reviews came across. Nevertheless, it became clear that a new, brightest star rose on the horizon of Russian literature. Gogol"s senior comrade A. S. Pushkin expressed himself as follows: "Here is real mercy, sincere, relaxed, without premance, without stiffness."
The writer himself subsequently called "evenings .." "students" experiments", but also noted that they feel" the first sweet minutes of young inspiration. " Time showed that these living, colorful, witty stories have been responding to the hearts of readers for many years. They are often filmed, put in theaters, and the number of fans of these beautiful stories is growing steadily
