The Eternal Call is the largest work of Anatoly Ivanov, on whom the writer worked for thirteen years-from 1963 to 1975. Soon after the release of the book, which was a huge reader’s success, the famous television series was also shot by the novel. The action of the novel covers almost six decades from the life of the country of the first half of the twentieth century. In the center of the story lies the story of the Saveliev family, immigrants from a distant Siberian village, a difficult, full of dramatic conflicts of the three brothers: Anton, Fedor and Ivan. The life of heroes is closely intertwined with the turning events of the century and becomes part of the history of an entire people, whose share of three wars, revolution, the collapse of the old world and the formation of a new one
