“Egyptian” (1945) is the historical novel of the Finnish writer Mick Valtari (1908–1979), who became a bestseller around the world and translated into more than thirty languages of the world.
Mika Valtari managed to create a work that attracts not only exciting plot dosages and reliable historical surroundings, but also a sense of involvement in the events that took place in ancient Egypt during the reign of the reformer Akhenaten and his royal wife Neferthyti. The effect of presence is achieved largely due to the confessive nature of the narrative, since the main character, the doctor Sinha, writes the story of his life only for himself and for himself. In addition, by virtue of his profession and natural craving for cognition, he penetrates the doors and becomes devoted to such secrets that are not available to anyone else
