The works included in this book can now be found in bookstores, but it was not always: in the Soviet Union they were prohibited for many years. M.A. Bulgakov wrote "Dog Heart" in 1925, the story was considered a political satire on the revolution and the proletariat, immediately declared anti -Soviet and not published until perestroika. J. Orwell was banned in the USSR as an “anti-Soviet ": the satirical novel-alignment of the British writer rigidly denounced all the vices and disadvantages of the dictatorship. The first publication of the "Castard", written in 1945, took place only in 1988
