The book of Aldanti Marezcotti “Diplomatic War” is a diary of the Italian diplomat, covering the five-year-old World War I and revealing some aspects of the allied interaction in the Entente among the military-historical literature among themselves.
This diary is primarily interesting in that it allows the reader to look at the course of one of the largest military conflicts in history through the eyes of a diplomat, and not a military, an economist or politician. Difficulties in the interaction of the Union ministries with each other, mutual distrust, undercover intrigues and the struggle of the warring states for their own interests - all this is shown in the book of the Italian diplomat.
The author’s access to archival data and preserving him at the time of writing a book of a prominent post in the diplomatic corps of Italy make these memories especially valuable for both researchers and a simple reader
