Collectible gift edition of the poem N.V. Gogol “Dead Souls” is the Snow publishing house and the Russian State Library. The book included 104 illustrations of the artist A.A. Agina and engraver E.E. Bernsky. Biographical Essay on N.V. Gogol was written by S. Orlovsky in 1904. As an annex to the poem, the publication includes the book of K. Kuzminsky “The Illustrator-Agin Artist” (1923), revealing the life and creative path of the first creators of the artistic images of Gogol’s instantaneous poem. All engravings in the book are taken from the originals of the 19th century from the RSL funds
