Boldyrev (real name of Skott) Ivan Andreevich [1 (14) .11 (according to other data 30.10 (12.11)) 1903, Moscow - 19.5.1933, Paris] - prose writer.
In the spring of 1924 he was arrested and exiled on charges of anti -Soviet activity in the Narymsky Territory.
In the spring of 1925 he made an unprecedented escape in courage. I illegally left Kolpashev to Tomsk. From there, along with another exile-a smugglers-overcame hundreds of miles on foot and in a boat, through Siberia and European Russia reached the Soviet-Polish border, which illegally crossed October 1. 1925. He was arrested in Poland, but soon released in Jan. 1926, together with the Party of Workers, went to France.
Since 1927, Boldyrev lived in Paris. He earned a living with hard physical labor.
illness, loneliness, everyday difficulties led Boldyrev to suicide - on the night of May 14 to 15, 1933, he accepted the deadly dose of Veronal, leaving a letter not to try to save him.
